We are extremely proud to announce that Flint Town United Academy has officially been awarded Category A status for next season.
FTU Academy Chair, Karl Russell, made the following comment on hearing of the news.
“This is a historic moment for our club — no other club has ever made the leap from Category B to Category A. That alone speaks volumes about the ambition, drive, and unity that defines Flint Town United.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the FAW and Amethyst for their continued guidance and support throughout this journey. Your belief in what we’re building here has made a real difference.
To our staff and volunteers — this achievement belongs to you. Your dedication, hard work, and passion have been nothing short of extraordinary. What we’ve accomplished together is a testament to your resilience and commitment. Every training session, every late night, every challenge faced — it’s all led us to this.
I am truly grateful to be surrounded by such an inspiring group of people. You are a credit to yourselves, to each other, and to this club. It’s an honour to stand alongside you on this journey. And a special mention for Danny Bell our Academy Director, who has put the plans in place and has made sure we have kept on track.
In the coming weeks, we’ll take time to reflect and plan for what’s next — but for now, let’s take a moment to celebrate something truly special. You’ve earned it.
