In an announcement that is sure to delight Silkmen fans everywhere, we can reveal that Ben Hughes has signed a new 18 month deal with the club.
Ben is very much regarded by Flint supporters as “one of our own” having progressed through the club’s Academy system and is now firmly established as one the first team mainstays in midfield.
Manager Lee Fowler welcomed the news, saying it demonstrated that the pathway through to the first team from the Academy set up is a genuine one, providing the players show the right level of application and commitment, and if they do, they will get their opportunities and then it’s up to them to seize their chance.
Congratulation to Ben on earning his new contract and we look forward to seeing him continue to grow and improve as a player for Flint Town United FC.
