Faux is released from his contract

By Nigel Sheen
Joe Faux has been released from his contract with the club, following discussions between the player and manager Lee Fowler.
It was mutually decided that it was in the best interests of both parties to cancel the contract and let Joe walk away and become a free agent.
Fowler indicated that Joe wanted to take a little break away, having endured a frustrating couple of seasons with injuries. With other commitments also pressing, the demands from the club on his time were too onerous at the present moment, and so it was decided this was the best course of action open to both parties.
Fowler added that Joe had indicated he wishes to carry on playing very soon, and the flexibility of being a free agent will help him find a club that is hopefully more suitable for his present needs. Finally, Fowler had this to say, “I would like to personally thank Joe for his honesty, maturity and professionalism during our discussions, which meant we could talk through the situation calmly as two adults. It will great to see him back on the football pitch again very soon, smiling and happy and being his usual self. Everyone at the club wishes Joe all the very best for the future”
