We are pleased to announce that we have once again been awarded the Tier 1 Domestic Licence, which is a pre-requisite for clubs wishing to compete in the Cymru Premier League.
In all, 15 clubs were awarded the Tier 1 Licence, including 11 of the 12 teams currently playing in the Cymru Premier, with Haverfordwest County the only Cymru Premier side to be refused the licence. They have 10 days in which to appeal the decision.
Our application for a UEFA Licence, something which is needed to compete in European competition, was withdrawn.
On hearing the news, club chairman Darryl Williams commented “This is fantastic for the club once again, and my heartfelt thanks go to all of our volunteers who contributed to this achievement. In particular, I must single out Mike Bennett, who has taken on the role of General Secretary, and who had the ultimate responsibility of overseeing our application. He was, of course, ably assisted by Keith Roberts, who handed over the reins to Mike, but was always on hand to offer his guidance and expert help.
Now, we need to try and do our utmost on the pitch to secure our league status, starting with our massive game against Caernarfon on Saturday”
