Centre back Izaack Lambert is the latest new signing to join Flint. Izaack began his career in the TNS Youth system, moving through into their Development team and then their first team squad. He then had a spell at Cefn Druids before moving stateside and joining TW (Tennessee Wesleyan) Bulldogs, an American University side. When he returned home, he signed for Ruthin Town, before spending last season with Guilsfield.
Flint manager Lee Fowler told us “Izaack is someone who really caught my eye last season, having an exceptional game in the 1-1 draw when Guilsfield played us at our place. After that game, he was someone I watched closely, and he has had previous Cymru Premier league experience with Cefn Druids. I chatted to Nathan Leonard (Guilsfield) and Phillo (Ruthin Town) about him, and they both gave good reports, corresponding to what I had seen. He knows it will be a tough jump up to tier 1, but he has convinced me he is up to the challenge and he is very keen and enthusiastic, so I’m really pleased we’ve got him on board”.
