Joe Faux becomes our Third New Signing

By Nigel Sheen
We are pleased to welcome Joseph (Joe) Faux to the Essity Stadium, the third new arrival of the close season. Joe is a tricky wide player who was previously with Caernarfon. He has also had spells with Connah’s Quay and Cefn Druids. 28 year old Joe, who boasts dual Australian and Romanian citizenship, started out playing for Bolton U23’s in the UK, before moving on to West Didsbury and Prescot Cables. He first entered the Welsh footballing system in July 2019, when he signed for Druids.
Manager Lee Fowler had this to say about his latest acquisition, “Joe is a player I’ve chased for a couple of years, same as Jack Thorn really. He has been hampered with injury in the last couple of seasons, and then finding others doing well in his role, so has had a bit of a stop-start time of it, and has stagnated a bit. So hopefully this is a fresh start for him. When he’s come up against us in the past, he has always been bright and lively, and given us problems. I’m not sure if its because he has done really well or that our full backs have been awful, we’ll soon find out !! Seriously, he will add quality on the pitch and also off it with his personality, and I’m sure he will be a real popular figure in and around the club.
