Match Preview : Cardiff Met v Flint, 03/09/22 2-30pm

By Nigel Sheen
Today we play our fifth consecutive league away game when we travel to Cardiff Met, and will be looking to pick up our fourth win during that run. It’s a 3rd v 4th encounter as Met have also enjoyed a fine start to the season, with only goal difference separating the two sides.
The Met boast the league’s top scorer, Sam Jones, within their ranks, who currently has a tally of 6 goals from 4 games. So it will be a prime objective of Lee Fowler’s team to try and keep him quiet. Unfortunately, our main goal threat, Okera Simmonds faces a number of weeks on the sidelines as he sustained ankle ligament damage in Tuesday night’s win at Airbus.
Fowler will need to assess his striking options, and may give Jack Hindle his first start for the club.
Anthony Stephens, who has himself missed the last couple of games through injury may be fit enough to return to the squad.
Kick off is 2-30pm and we shall have live updates via our Twitter account.
