It’s a Flintshire derby this weekend as we host Airbus UK Broughton. Following a points deduction, our visitors are currently on negative points, but with the appointment of new manager Jamie Reed, the Airbus players will no doubt be out to impress as they seek to record their first win of the season.
In the reverse fixture, Flint won 3-1 at the Airfield with a strong second half display making up for a disappointing first 45 minutes, which had seen the Wingmakers take a 1-0 lead thanks to ex-Flint player Dan Roberts.
Silkmen manager Lee Fowler will be looking for his side to be more clinical in front of goal, as they created numerous chances last week against Caernarfon, but a combination of good goalkeeping and poor finishing meant they didn’t convert any.
Airbus now have their top goalscorer from last season, Adam Davies, available once more, as he made his long awaited return, after suffering a serious injury, by coming on as a substitute in their previous match against Penybont.
Tickets for the game can be purchased in advance from our website, or you can pay on the day at the turnstile. Adults £8, Seniors £5, U16’s £2, U11 Free
Kick off on Saturday is 5-15pm as the game is being shown live on Sgorio’s online channels.
