Our second league match of the new season sees us travel to Latham Park, Newtown, where we shall be looking to continue our great start under Lee Fowler. However, a real test will await our new look Flint side as Chris Hughes’ experienced side are always formidable opponents, especially on their own turf. And they themselves got off to a good start by sharing the points with reigning champions TNS on Saturday, so we know any sort of result achieved here will be one that’s well earned.
With almost all of our player clearance issues now having being sorted, Fowler will have most of his squad available this evening, including latest signing Harry Allen, another good goalkeeping prospect who has joined after being released by Burnley U23’s. Also added to the squad and in line to make their first competitive appearances for the Silkmen are Jordan Carroll and Jayden Major.
Our hosts will be without the suspended Zeli Ismail who was red carded in their game on Saturday.
Our Twitter platform will carry regular in game updates on our progress.
