Having suffered two back to back league defeats for the first time this season just before the enforced break, this win at Barry was the perfect tonic for the Silkmen, boosting their hopes of securing a top six finish.
In what turned out to be a Christmas Cracker of a game (sorry, Xmas puns compulsory!), Flint and Caernarfon starred in a seven game thriller, which the visitors just about edged in the end.
A hugely controversial 1st half penalty proved a pivotal moment in this game, which swung it in favour of the hosts.

For the third time this season, Bala came out on top against Flint, having previously won at the Essity in the league cup and our initial league game.
In a game in which they struggled to get out of second gear for long periods, Flint came away from the Rock with a share of the points.
In what always looked as though it was going to be a tricky game on paper, Flint produced an assured performance to claim all three points.
Flint had to dig deep to emerge with all 3 points from Park Avenue against a spirited Aberystwyth side.
