This Saturday we travel to Bangor in the third round of this season’s JD Welsh Cup (kick off 2pm).
Both sides compete in the Cymru North, but have not met in the league so far this season. Bangor 1876 is a supporters run club, formed a few seasons back following the turmoil that enveloped Bangor City. They were promoted into the Cymru North at the end of last season, and currently lie in 12th position in the table, on 12 points, 14 behind Flint’s total.
However, in a one-off cup game, with home support behind them, it could be prove to be a difficult obstacle for Lee Fowler and his side to negotiate in order to progress further in this season’s competition.
The Flint boss also has a few injury worries to contend with, especially Danny Harrison who limped off during last weekend’s win at Porthmadog being rated very doubtful. Flint will also be without Luis Lacey who will serve a suspension, having been sent off in the previous round at Denbigh.
For any travelling Flint supporters heading to the game, the address of the stadium is Nantporth, Holyhead Rd, Bangor LL57 2HQ. Payment on the turnstiles will be cash only but card payments will be accepted at the entrance to the clubhouse in the back of the main stand. And please remember it’s a 2pm kick off.
