Preview : Flint v Nomads, Welsh Cup 09/12/23 (5-35pm)

By Nigel Sheen
The two Flintshire near neighbours and rivals go head to head today, to see which team will progress into the Quarter Finals of this season’s JD Welsh Cup.
Nomads will rightly be regarded as the favourites, as they are currently flying high in the Cymru Premier league and of course are well used to the surroundings of the Essity Stadium, as it’s also their base this season. But Flint are also enjoying a good campaign thus far, unbeaten in their league, since returning to the Cymru North, and manager Lee Fowler will be hopeful his side can spring a shock.
Supporters of both sides are encouraged to allow themselves plenty of time to get into the ground. If the main car parks by the Social Club are full, alternative parking is available by the castle just off the Castle Park Industrial Estate. People are requested to be mindful of local residents when parking, and to do so considerately.
We shall also be doing a collection for the Flintshire Food Bank, and collection points will be around the turnstile area. So please bring along any tinned food items you wish to donate to this good cause.
A printed matchday programme will be available, priced £2.
