After spending six successful years at Connah’s Quay Nomads, Jay announced he was leaving in May 2022. He was appointed as skipper at Flint for last season. During his time at the Nomads, Jay clocked up almost 160 appearances, winning the JD Cymru Premier, Welsh Cup and the NMG League Cup. He was also named as the Players’ Player and Coaches’ Player of the Season for the 2016/17 season. He started out at Chester making seven Football League appearances and representing Wales at Under-17 level. He then moved to Barrow where he made 95 appearances in the Conference and was capped for Wales Under-23 semi-pros. Jay also played for Airbus between 2013 and 2016, before moving to the Deeside Stadium.
