This Saturday sees us open our JD Cymru North campaign with a home match against newly promoted Denbigh Town (kick off 2-30pm).
New signings Tom Hilditch and Joe Williams are both unavailable due to suspension and injury respectively. Also, we are awaiting international clearance on a few other players, which hopefully will be resolved in time for them to be included n the squad.
Denbigh got their season off to a successful start last weekend with a 1-0 away win at Chirk in the Nathaniel MG Cup 1st round, and so will approach this game full of confidence. Ex-Flint player Mason Blackwell-Jones on target for Dewi Llion Jones’ side. Apart from Mason, they also have several other former Flint players within their squad – Tom Weir and brothers Harry and Ben Lockley.
It should prove to be an interesting test for Lee Fowler’s new look Flint side, the manager promising a more expansive style of football from his team this season.
