We are delighted to announce that our Academy has been awarded Category B status.
Under the new FAW categorisation process for the 2023/24 season, Academies are graded as either A, B or C.
Out of 23 registered Academies within Welsh Domestic football, only 14 were awarded A or B status. Four of them achieved the elite A Category, with a further 10, including Flint, being awarded Category B status. Category B Academies are deemed to offer a high quality developmental environment and full Academy pathway.
For a club with limited resources such as ourselves, to attain the Category B accolade is a fantastic achievement, and huge thanks must go to all our Academy staff, particularly Head of Academy, Danny Bell, and his three age group heads, John Murphy, Gary McConnell and Hayden Baines-Hughes, for their desire and commitment in securing this goal.
During May, all of our Academy teams, ranging from U8 to U19, will be holding trials for next season. Anyone interested in registering their child for the younger age ranges, or applying themselves in the older age categories (16+), should copy and paste the following link https://t.co/l27xjoYk6f and then complete the google form.
