Our first competitive game under Lee Fowler will see Flint make a return trip to Colwyn Bay, having already played them in a friendly last Saturday, in the second round of the Nathaniel MG Cup.
The Bay deservedly came out 3-1 winners in the friendly, and Fowler will be well aware that Steve Evans’ side will provide a tough obstacle to overcome if we are to progress further in the competition. Evans has moulded together a strong side which has been further enhanced with some good close season signings, not least of course ex-Silkmen Sam Hart and Ryan Woods, and the Bay are probably most people’s favourites for the Cymru North title for the new season.
Kick off is currently scheduled for 2-30pm on Saturday 6th August at Llanelian Road, Colwyn Bay.
