The new season fixtures have been released and Flint travel to face Pontypridd United on the opening day of the new campaign, on August 13th. This will be Ponty’s first ever game in the Cymru Premier, having won promotion at the end of last season.
The Silkmen face playing their first 5 league fixtures away from the Essity Stadium, due to the installation of the new 3G playing surface. So, after Pontypridd, comes trips to Newtown (Fri 19th Aug), Penybont (Sat 27th Aug), Airbus (Tues 30th Aug) and Cardiff Met (Sat 3rd Sept). Our first competitive fixture on our new surface will be against Aberystwyth Town on Friday 9th September.
A Christmas/New Year double header against Connah’s Quay Nomads has been scheduled, with Flint away at the Quay on Boxing Day and at home on New Year’s Eve.
Our season will actually start on 6th August in the second round of the NMG Cup, against opponents still to be decided, but needless to say it will be an away match.
The JD Cymru Premier Phase One campaign will conclude on Saturday 7th January.
