We can today welcome three more new signings to the Essity Stadium for the new season. They are Brandon Diau Jordan Carroll and Harry Owen.
Brandon is a towering 6ft 6ins defender who includes Kidderminster Harriers, and Hamburg amongst his former clubs. The 29 year old Congolese national was actually born in Germany and started out with Troisdorf before joining Hamburg U19’s. He also had a spell in Israel before coming to England and playing for several clubs in the English non-league system. Most recently he has played in Iceland for Vikingur. Lee Fowler had this to say of Brandon, “He has done well at tumes over pre season, and has a good attitude. We have lots to work on, but the key thing is he is coachable and wants to learn, which is a great attribute to have”.
Jordon Carroll hails from Ireland and has previously played under Fowler at Radcliffe, joining them from Athlone Town. He has a tremendous work rate and displays great composure on the ball. He is a midfielder who is also comfortable at playing in different areas of the pitch, and should prove to be a great addition to the Flint squad.
Finally, Harry Owen joins on loan from neighbours Connah’s Quay Nomads, where he previously captained their U19 Development side. Fowler has been impressed with Harry both as a player and a person since working with him during pre-season, and had this to say about the promising youngster, “Harry was someone that everyone I spoke to about, gave me really positive feedback. Since he has been with us, his attitude and ability have echoed what people have said. I’m looking forward to working with him and being able to give him the platform to show his ability in senior football. He had a good loan spell at Ruthin last season, and so this season promises to be a good test for him at Welsh Premier level. I would like to thank Craig, Dave and Gary from the Nomads for facilitating the loan move and allowing him to continue his football education with us”.
A warm welcome to all three players and we hope they enjoy their time here at the Essity.
